All sizes are in inches. You need a tape measure and a notepad.
We measure again in person before your written quote.

Some glass or frame choices are priced at the site visit and are not included in this total.
These are estimates. Ranges are based on current Mr. Glass product pricing for the closest standard size and include installation & wood bucking, plus a flat permitting & inspections fee. Your final price depends on the product line, glass, frame, the wind-pressure rating needed at your address, and an on-site measurement.
Step 2 of 4 · optional
Florida insurers must offer wind mitigation credits. If every opening is protected with approved impact products, the windstorm part of your premium can go down.
This is an estimate, not an insurance quote. Credits vary by insurer and only apply to the windstorm part of your policy. After installation you'll need a wind mitigation inspection (form OIR-B1-1802). Your insurance agent can tell you your exact credit.
Step 3 of 4 · optional
This is general guidance, not an inspection. Only a licensed contractor, an inspector or the building department can confirm whether your home meets code.
Step 4 of 4
We'll send your estimate to Stock Source Glass Solutions, a State Certified glass & glazing contractor serving South Florida. They'll confirm your sizes and give you a written price. You're under no obligation.

Most installed projects in South Florida price out roughly per square foot of opening. Small windows have a minimum cost because labor and permits don't scale down. Large sliders, French doors and coastal homes cost more. Use the estimator above to get a range, then get a measured, written quote. That's the only price you should rely on.
Yes. In Miami-Dade and Broward (the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone), replacement windows and doors must be permitted and use products with a valid Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) or Florida Product Approval for that zone. Each approval covers specific sizes and design pressures. The Mr. Glass series in the estimator show their Florida Product Approval numbers, which you can look up at floridabuilding.org.
Often, yes, but only on the windstorm part of your premium, and usually only when every opening is protected. The amount depends on your insurer. After installation, a wind mitigation inspection (form OIR-B1-1802) records the upgrade. Ask your agent what credit you'd get.
Measuring and quoting usually happen quickly. After that the timeline depends on permit approval and manufacturing lead time, which change with the season and the size of the order. Your installer will give you a project schedule with the written quote.
Yes. Replacing windows and exterior doors in Miami-Dade and Broward requires a building permit and inspections. A licensed contractor normally pulls the permit and schedules inspections for you. Ask for the permit number.
